Message from H.E. Gian Ludovico De Martino di Montegiordano, Ambassador of Italy in Australia

As Ambassador of Italy to Australia, I have the pleasure to deliver this message on this important occasion, the 4th Italian Week, a celebration of Italy, its culture and its tradition in the city of Brisbane and in the state of Queensland.

Allow me to say that the success of the previous Italian Week celebrations are the results of the precious efforts that the organisers have achieved in the diffusion of the Italian culture. This year Italian Week has expanded its celebration into other areas of traditional Italian immigration, such as Stanthorpe.

This edition of Italian Week, dedicated to “La Bella Figura”, fits perfectly into a typical image of Italy. The attention for beauty, fashion, design and lifestyle is also the focus of this year’s celebrations.

I wish to convey my congratulations and every success to the organisers for presenting a modern, dynamic and thoroughly expressive image of our country.
