The Queensland College of Wine Tourism is a state-of-the-art training facility located right on the New England highway at Stanthorpe. The College provides specialist education and training facilities in wine tourism for secondary, TAFE and university students in a real industry setting.
The Banca Ridge Cellar Door and Bistro provides a la carte luncheon dining from Tuesday to Sunday during the hours of 10am and 3pm. The bistro provides a daily lunch menu prepared and served by hospitality students under industry supervision. The feature dish is the ‘Medley of Mains’, a tasting platter served with selected Banca Ridge wines made by Gateway Schools Students under the supervision of a qualified winemaker. Open to the public, guests can enjoy fine dining in front the double-sided open fire place or dine on the deck overlooking the vineyard and lake.
In addition to bistro dining, the College provides excellent conference and function facilities for up to 120 people. Packages can be tailored to suit clients’ needs and include conferences, dinners, wine appreciation courses, seminars, meetings, cookery classes, and videoconferencing.
